Now even the Face book applications are dealt with new security laws, which are capable of accessing your profile but now it will work according to social networking site’s criteria i.e. new rules by Face book, for flaws.
Symantec the Internet security firm had noticed that even the third party users can access to Face book users accounts, there profiles, chat, and there personal information.
New security laws are now on the floor just to make sure that the third party users can’t access the users profile and to make them realize that what they are doing is not tolerable. Some Face book applications are misusing the profile information by using “access tokens” which ask for your permission to move further in an application. Applications which ask for your information to access for moving further in to any online app, like playing game, any puzzle, gifts and many more…
In an estimation, around 100,000 applications are available for you people on which third party users can easily access your information, and it can leak around billions profile’s data by using access tokens, which can harm you on socially.
Access tokens or you can say spare keys and these are those carriers which carry out certain actions on user’s behalf only to access their profile information, in order to take fun of applications. Moreover each token is capable enough to leak your profile information, like reading your wall, accessing your friend’s wall, information, even posting yours friend’s wall.
In order to keep an eye on these third party users Face book has taken new steps to fix the flaws to prevent further leakage of information. No doubt the Face book users are under threat and are worried but you need not to worry for this thing. Change your password as soon as possible in order to prevent your profile from leakage, and don’t use applications for some time, in order to throw away the third party users out from Face book.
