The Sakshat Tablet , manufactured by HCL Technologies was launched in India on Monday 10th jan,2011. HCL plans to initially produce 100,000 units.

What does it have?

  • 9-inch Tablet with camera
  • 2GB RAM
  • USB ports
  • Integrated Wi-Fi connectivity
  • Android OS
  • Sakshat will support web conferencing , video , media player , internet browser , PDF reader etc.
  • Low power requirements , 2 watts of power.

Competitors:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab
  • Dell Streak
  • Notion Ink Adam Tablet
  • Apple ipad

But the introductory price of Rs 15,00 would now allow competitors to stand in the market if the device is worth.
