Nokia X1-01 and Nokia C2-00, two low cost phones are unveiled by Nokia. The most important thing about these phones is dual SIM feature. They will be available in market by the end of the June and are priced roughly around €34 or Rs. 2,200 for the X1-01, and €45 or roughly Rs. 2,900 for the C2-00. Both work on Symbian platform with the Nokia X1-01 running Series 30, and the C2-00 running Series 40. We Indian people are lucky that Nokia is providing Ovi Life Tools services with these handsets. And from this India is in one of the ‘selected markets’ where Nokia is providing us so many features at such low costs.
According to Nokia Conversations blog, “both the handsets are no-nonsense devices, and are inexpensive phones with long battery life.
Features of Nokia X1-01:
- Music phone
- 13 hours of talk time
- 43 days of standby time
- 36 hours of continuous music playback with its 1320 mAh battery
Features of Nokia C2-00:
- 5.75 hours of talk time
- 19.2 days of standby time with its 1020 mAh battery
They both have 1.8-inch 65K colour screens, with resolutions of 128×160 pixels, and are dual band devices.
Nokia is really making some good mouths from low-priced X1-01 as it has the loudest and clearest speaker inside it, if compared with other Nokia devices, it can deliver up to 106 phon (unit of loudness) with minimal distortion. Dedicated keys are there in Nokia X1-01 for MP3 player, one-click playlist creator, a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio, and up to 16GB of storage via microSD. It also contains flashlight, and can have huge bulk of settings for remembrance up to five SIM cards, also letting you assign logos / signatures / ringtones for all.
And in Nokia C2-00 there is a VGA camera, GPRS connectivity, browser and Nokia Messaging apps, and up to 32GB of storage via microSD. “Easy Swap” a hot-swappable SIM slot on the side of the phone is also in it. Including FM recording, it also has Bluetooth v2.0 and microUSB connectivity.
