Viral, when used as a computer term, refers to a reoccurring practice or pattern of Internet use that moves from person to person.

Marketing means planning ,implementing to sell your product online.

Viral Marketing can be collectively used to define as spreading a marketing message through viral means (which could be Social networking,Emails. You tube videos ,flash ,banners etc) to more and more number of people. This trick either works completely or wont. The desired result should be something like this. If one person begins it at the beginning the result of this should be :

If one is able to achieve this kind of success he/she or the product can also make a steep growth in its sales.

Viral marketing

Some of the first recorded offline / online viral campaigns were developed by Tim Nolan of Spent2000.com fame circa 1996. By placing abstract pairings of catch-phrases, quotes, song lyrics and image mashups, Mr. Nolan developed a method of creating “buzz” around a URL based installation. Phrases like “This city isn’t safe” placed along side a URL created curiousity enough in people’s minds to remember a URL and visit again once they were online.

Hotmail is another viral marketing expert that includes the message of its advertisers in all the emails that are transacted through hotmail’s servers.

Viral marketing is very similar to the publicity process like “word of mouth”. As word of mouth is one of the best means of publicizing a product similarly viral marketing is. For eg: I wish to market one of my product of Mobiles. How will I?? How should I?? These will be the questions that are filled in my mind?

Viral marketing

One should be very tricky in this case. Though there are paid packages available on the web for viral marketing but still if an individual has 500 social networking followers and has a database of around 1000 email recipients he/she can begin with a good viral marketing scheme. Once you keep cash prices or rewards for people who forward it to maximum number of people you will start getting the responses very soon.

What are the quality benefits?
  • Could take your business very high: In the case of viral marketing you wont loose much as you would do in other strategies of marketing as you are just forwarding and forwarding your email to maximum number of people using the web world.
  • Publicize: If not the growth atleast at the end of the campaign your product will be very much popular and once there is publicity for something it tends to rise one or the other day.
  • Effortless transactions: With the term effortless we mean you need not to go door to door to sell your product it is just about playing the best trick in the market and winning the game sooner.
  • Links you up with thousands of people online: Nowadays people are very much interested and keen in making money online so they spend most of their time working online and looking for opportunities to make money online. Once your campaign is popular you will definitely be linked with thousands of new business and friendly relations through your social networks and email friends.
  • Takes the benefit of others resources: Yes, This is the best one. You send the email to 1000 people . And out of those 1000 people  500 send it to another 1000 which takes to 50,000 and this figure rises exponentially.
