Recently I came across doing campaigns for Internet Marketing so I thought about sharing the methods of Internet Advertising. Advertising is about spreading your message or products through different means. Since a decade now Google Adwords has been the best place for people to advertiser for their product as they have low rates and higher reach.

People have been following traditional styles of advertising through News papers, Print banners or have also started to move to Radio a bit but internet now covers around 20% of stake as well which will rise exponentially soon.

The internet advertising mainly keeps an eye on your wallet either through CPC (Cost-Per-Click) or CPM (Cost-Per-Metric). Generally if your budget is low you will go for CPC. Now these are further categorized under following:

There are different fixed standard sizes of advertising online. You can choose any of them to advertise with any company.
Google Adwords, Adbrite etc offer these solutions based on CPM and CPC. The price of click is decided on the basis of Bidding of keywords.
Link Advertisements:
There are link units with Google and other advertisers as well in which your ad is displayed in links and once it is clicked you will be charged. Again Google , Ad brite etc offer this solution.
In- Text Advertisements:
If you are a blogger you must be aware about it. Companies like Infolinks, Konterra offer In-Text Advertising solution i.e the text on a website gets highlighted which shows an advertisement when mouse is taken over it. Info links and Konterra are the key advertisers for this kind of advertising.
Video Ads:
You must be aware about how beneficial a video advertisement could be as if you can do it for free on Youtube , Facebook etc as well or pay to companies that offer video advertising.
Image Advertising:
Newer companies like Pixazza and all have started showing a pop up in image ad which is displayed when mouse is moved over an image. Pixazza and Image Space Media are key contenders for this kind of advertising.
Fixed Banner:
These types of ads are used on websites that offer direct fixed ads at some price. Most websites offer direct advertising and would lease you some ad space on their website for fixed amount. You can advertise on blogs with High PR and Higher Rankings.
Press Releases:
