Now Android 2.2 Froyo is moving to Android 2.3 Gingerbread in Samsung Galaxy Tabs, from, this month in UK and Scandinavia.
Soon, rolling of updates in operating system, in tablets will make good words. Samsung is upgrading its Galaxy based Android tablets, from Android 2.2 “Froyo” to Android 2.3 “Gingerbread.”. This sudden up gradation by Samsung will boom the market. Surely Samsung with this update wants to provide it’s users a better performance and remarkable battery life. This will provide user an improved and user friendly interface and also improved copy and paste function. As Nokia is ready with a new update in Symbian platform, so Samsung tried to lower it down by announcing this upgrade version in Android based platform. This Android based tablet with new updated version will improve the functionality and will compete with it’s on most stable “Eclairs” version.
This update will start in UK and Scandinavia, in this month and will slowly move its market to European countries and then gradually to North America, then South and North Asia and from region to region. Samsung Kies device management software will help in this update, which is available for free on Samsung’s website. Moreover, other products from Samsung, based on Android platform like Ace, Fit, Gio, and mini will also be able to update to Android version 2.3.
Note: This update exists for 7-inch version of the Galaxy Tab and 10.1inch have to keep Android 2.0 Honeycomb version.
This update was meant to launch originally in last month, but due to Symbian’s update and because of Vodafone pressure as mentioned by Google, Samsung announced it in this month only. Whatever may be the reason, but it will benefit the users.

This means I must wait for some time before buy a new tab as there will be more options in few months.
